Coach Todd Katz
In 2001 running a marathon seemed distant and unobtainable. I weighed 228 pounds and was quickly approaching a Body Mass Index indicating Level II obesity. It was time for a change. I decided to go out for a jog. 10 minutes later I had to walk home. Persistence, Commitment and Patience led to the shedding of almost 70 pounds.
I went from jogging 10 minutes a day (at an 11 - 12 minute mile pace) in 2001 to a 2:59:23 (6:51 mile pace) marathon at the Boston Marathon on April 20th 2009. I never knew there was a warrior athlete in me until I decided to see what I could do. Sometimes you just have to Drop the Hammer and JAM!
Over the last several years I have been coaching athletes to a new lifestyle and to personal best times. Check out some of the Testimonials.
